Supporting institutions with accountability consulting services, from accountability mechanism reviews to other bespoke collaborations.
I draw on my expertise for this work through decades of consulting on accountability issues for multiple multilateral development banks (MDBs) and UN institutions, and as the founder of Accountability Counsel, an organization dedicated to the effective use and improvement of accountability offices.
I am an expert in accountability mechanism governance, transparency, navigation of political structures, and effective complaint handling techniques. I conduct trainings, workshops and support accountability mechanisms with best practices around engagement with complainants and civil society, including relating to issues of retaliation.
I have been part of accountability policy development at every MDB and have supported dozens of communities to use accountability offices effectively, including cases that have delivered remedy to complainants, changed policy and practice, and improved livelihoods and the environment.
