Collaboration with boards, executive directors, leadership teams, and philanthropic supporters as a resource for organizations seeking to develop internal grounding in the values they promote, and policies and practices that allow focus on the mission.
This work can include support for:
advising organizations on policy and procedure development,
internal communications tools to improve transparency and effectiveness,
board reporting and board-team communications tools,
design of monitoring, learning, and evaluation (MEL) systems,
risk assessment and safety and security policies and procedures,
due diligence processes, and
grievance and accountability policy and procedures (see Accountability).
Leadership Transitions
Whether preparing for — or suddenly addressing — a leadership transition, consulting includes collaboration with boards of directors and leadership teams to ensure the policies, practices, and actions required for a values-driven leadership transition.
This work may include support for succession planning based on analysis of current leadership strengths and opportunities through research, interviews, and assessments; support designing or re-designing governance or leadership structures for transitions; project mapping the steps for organizational planning and practice to prepare for a transition; and other tailored support.
